Lifelong commitment-phobe Vivian (Jane Fonda), has never been married. When Arthur (Don Johnson) proposes, she surprisingly accepts.

Her three best friends, retired judge Sharon (Candice Bergen), retired restauranteur Carol (Mary Steenburgen) and kooky Diane (Diane Keaton) decide to take the trip to Italy that they'd planned before the pandemic hit, as a bachelorette trip.

Once in Italy, they decide to also visit Venice before heading to Tuscany, for a special surprise that they've planned for Vivian. When things go off the rails and secrets are revealed, their relaxing vacation turns into a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.
