Synopsis:
At 93, Thelma Post (June Squibb) receives a distressing call from someone claiming to be her grandson, Danny (Fred Hechinger), who says he’s been in a car accident and needs $10,000 urgently. Worried but determined, Thelma, who lives alone and is very close to Danny, mails the money. When she later finds out it was a scam, relief turns to resolve—she’s not letting them get away with it. Inspired by true events, Thelma is a thrilling tale of grit and determination as Thelma sets out to take back what’s hers, no matter the cost.
